For this show, one of the pieces of work I created was entitled 'Shift - GPS mis-mapping of ground sheet on 22-04-09, 10:30-10:50'. I am interested in exploring our use of GPS systems to locate ourselves and how this relationship is affected by inaccuracies, due to the differing satellite orbits, interference in the atmosphere and the functionality of the handset. By recording the static position of a ground sheet in the studio over a period of 20 minutes, I created a visual 3D map of the variances logged using steel rods.
